Upon arrival to Narita Airport, our assistant will be waiting to assist you to your private transfer which will take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Embark on a guided tour to Asakusa, one of Tokyo’s old towns, where you will experience the traditional atmosphere of the area. Visit Senso-ji, the most famous temple in Tokyo, and learn about temple customs from the guide. Enjoy Japanese snacks at the nearby stalls before heading to Kappabashi, known for its specialized stores for kitchenware. In the afternoon, take an automatic train to Odaiba, a man-made island offering a stunning view of the city. Explore the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, Miraikan, and meet the ASIMO robot. Conclude the tour by returning to the hotel with the guide or continue exploring Tokyo.
Join a ninja workshop to learn about the history and skills of the ninja warriors. Begin with a meditation session and learn about kujikiri hand gestures. Practice shuriken throwing and blowgun techniques. Transition to samurai training, learning sword techniques and the ways of the samurai. Take pictures in costume at the end of the activity.
Embark on a tour to Yokohama, a popular out-of-town destination from Tokyo known for its laidback atmosphere. Start by visiting the Hara Model Railway Museum, home to the largest model train collection in the world. Explore the fascinating world of model trains, suitable for kids of all ages. Next, discover the history of Cup Noodles at the Cup Noodle Museum, where interactive workshops like the Cup Noodle Factory allow kids to create their own cup noodles. Enjoy a lunch at the Noodles Bazaar, sampling noodles from eight different countries. After lunch, take a leisurely walk through Yamashita Park, Japan’s first seaside park, opened in 1930. Stroll to Osanbashi Pier for beautiful views of Yokohama. Conclude the tour with a short boat ride from the park to Yokohama Station, where you can catch a train back to Tokyo.

Explore Kanazawa alongside a knowledgeable local guide. Start with a visit to the pristine Kenroku-en Garden, one of Japan’s top three gardens. The garden features the oldest water fountain in the country, teahouses, and a large villa that used to be the retirement home of one of the richest clans in Kanazawa. Adjacent to the garden is Kanazawa Castle, easily accessed through the Ishikawa-mon Gate. Enjoy lunch inside Omicho Market, known for its fresh seafood and fine sushi. After lunch, visit the Nagamachi samurai district, a former neighborhood of opulent traditional villas. Explore the walled streets where high-level Kaga Clan samurai once lived and enter the beautifully preserved Nomura Samurai House. Visit the Maeda Samurai Museum to see antique armor, swords, calligraphy, and other items from the samurai era. Finish the day with a special hands-on viewing of authentic samurai swords from a former samurai family’s private collection. Part ways with the guide and continue exploring the city independently.

Dive into the rich traditions of Japan in Kyoto by participating in a traditional tea ceremony and origami lesson. Begin with a tour of a machiya, a traditional wooden townhouse, followed by donning a kimono and joining a tea master for a ceremonial tea service. Learn the art of origami under the guidance of a local artist. Gain new insights into Japanese culture and return to the hotel with a better understanding of Kyoto’s heritage.

Embark on a full-day tour of Kyoto’s iconic sites, starting with a visit to the Fushimi Inari Shinto Shrine, known for its thousands of orange torii gates. Explore the Sanjusangendo Buddhist temple with its 1001 golden statues and Nishiki Market, offering a variety of traditional foods and crafts. Enjoy lunch at a nearby restaurant before visiting Nijo Castle, known for its painted walls and ‘chirping nightingale’ floors. Conclude the tour at Nanzenji Zen Temple, a peaceful retreat in the eastern foothills of Kyoto.

This half day walk introduces a number of quiet locations set amidst tranquil scenery in Arashiyama, Kyoto. Meet the guide at the hotel and travel to Otagi Nenbutsuji, a remote Buddhist temple that holds 1200 moss-covered stone statues. Walk through the backroads of Arashiyama district, visiting memorable sites and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Stop for a matcha tea break and walk through the famous Arashiyama bamboo forest. Finish on the main street of central Arashiyama, where the guide can point towards other enjoyable spots in the area.
Experience the ancient capital of Nara on this day trip. Wander by ancient shrines, traditional houses, and famous landmarks such as Todai-ji Temple. Explore Nara Park, stroll through backstreets, and visit Kasuga Taisha shrine. Enjoy a guided tour with a local guide, starting at Isui Garden and ending in the Naramachi district. Conclude the trip with a transfer to Osaka, known for its vibrant culture and delicious food.

Discover hidden gems like a moss-covered Buddhist statue and a museum showcasing ukiyo-e woodblock prints. Explore the retro Shinsekai district with the iconic Tsutenkaku tower. Visit Isshinji Temple, a Buddhist site with modern art museum-like buildings and golden statues made from religious devotees’ ashes.
