After nearly a year of requiring Canadians to go through a complicated and costly visa process, Egypt is bringing back its e-visa option on December 1st, 2024. 🙌 This means no more expensive paperwork or mailing your passport—Canadian travellers will soon be able to apply online once again!

For nearly a year, Canadians visiting Egypt had to pay $150 and go through a tedious process involving mailing an application form, passport, and itinerary.

The previous e-visa system, which only cost about $35, will be restored, making it much easier (and more affordable!) to visit Egypt’s stunning landmarks—from the Pyramids of Giza to the tranquil Nile River. While we don’t have an exact date for when this change will take effect, rest assured it’s coming soon.
