This three-day tour will take you to three of Victoria’s most picturesque regions where you will enjoy good food, good wine, stunning scenery, and native Australian wildlife.
Day one will take you to the Mornington Peninsula. For over 100 years, visitors have come to see gentle hills, sparkling bay and surf beaches, and stunning coastal scenery. Home to some of the most picturesque wineries in Victoria, this highly regarded wine-growing region produces some of the best Australian examples of Chardonnay, Shiraz, and Pinot Noir.
Private Tasting
Crittenden Estate is where you will enjoy a private tasting with fresh farm-grown produce and meet local artisans. Lunch will be at a stunning vineyard restaurant. The rest of the afternoon is yours to sample more fine wine or try something a little different with a visit to the Main Ridge Dairy, Red Hill Cheese, Mornington Peninsula Chocolates, or Sunny Ridge Strawberry Farm. Overnight on the Mornington Peninsula.
Woodman Estate
Less than an hour from Melbourne, this Victorian manor is set amidst a formal garden of box hedges, rose gardens, herbaceous borders, and sweeping lawns to the lake’s edge. Luxury accommodation is provided in individually-designed rooms, ornately decorated with ceiling roses, dado paneling, stained glass windows, and antique fittings. The Yarra Range
Your personal guide will take you to the Yarra Valley, one of Australia’s leading wine-making regions. The Yarra Ranges provide a picturesque backdrop as you make your way through this wine and food-lover’s paradise. This tour can be tailored to suit your tastes as you enjoy lunch at one of the region’s impressive vineyard restaurants, followed by time spent exploring the area, meeting local characters, and sampling wine from boutique wineries such as Yarra Yering, Coldstream Hills, and Yering Farm. Add a stop at local gin distiller, Four Pillars, and learn about the variety of botanicals they use.
Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary
Along the way visit the Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary, one of Australia’s leading wildlife reserves with over 200 species of Australian birds and animals in pristine Aussie bush land. Overnight in the Yarra Valley.
Chateau Yering
Located on 250 acres that was originally the first vineyard in the area, Chateau Yering is a restored Victorian mansion in the centre of Yarra Valley, hosting 32 individually decorated suites. Over 70 vineyards are located within minutes of the property.

Drive Through Spa Country
Your final touring day will take you on a scenic drive from the Yarra Valley to the Victorian spa country, where you will embark on a day of galleries, fresh produce, lush farmland, and stone farmhouse buildings. Your first stop is the quaint village of Trentham, where you will enjoy morning tea at the famous Red Beard Bakery, best known for its 100-year-old Scotch oven.
Daylesford and Hepburn Springs
Afterwards you will arrive at Daylesford and Hepburn Springs where you can partake in some wine tasting at one of the regions cool climate wineries, soak up the European heritage with a visit to Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm, or visit the award-winning Convent Gallery, located in a former girls’ school (1891) overlooking the township of Daylesford. Lunch will be served at one of Australia’s best regional restaurants: the award-winning Lake House.
Back to Melbourne
On your return trip to Melbourne, soak up the sights of the Macedon Ranges Regional Park and Hanging Rock, famous for the film Picnic at Hanging Rock.

Hosted by a local culinary expert, this walking and tasting tour will introduce you to some of the best vendors at the market including an underground city cheese room and chocolate treats at one of the city’s chocolate lounges. This comprehensive tour of the Queen Victoria Market provides an insider scoop on the city’s top restaurants and bars. Enjoy a variety of samples from local providores and wrap up with artisan Italian gelato.
Evening Liquid Crafts Tour
This walk will introduce you to the creative spirit behind the innovations of local distillers, mixologists and brewers. The bar scene is abuzz with laneway haunts, gorgeous rooftop lounges, and hidden speakeasies. Make your way through the quirky side streets of Melbourne as we test our cocktail making skills, try food pairings, and sample regional variations in some of the city’s lesser known stops.

Melbourne to Adelaide
Day 7

Geelong and Bells Beach
The short journey from Melbourne to Adelaide boasts diverse landscapes, scenery, and amazing food. Depart Melbourne and travel to Geelong where we’ll stroll along the beautifully transformed waterfront. First stop is Bells Beach, a famous surfing beach and a great place to enjoy morning tea. We then shift focus and spend some time observing eastern grey kangaroos in the wild.
Lorne
Moving along a cliff-hugging section of the Great Ocean Road, we stop to view the Arch and hear the intriguing story of this incredible memorial road. Break for lunch at Lorne — the largest of the seaside resorts in the area.
Koala at Kennett River
Afterward we’ll make our way along the spectacular road, stopping at Kennett River to see koalas and many colourful native birds in the wild. Enjoy a guided walk through a cool temperate rainforest gully to see the world’s tallest flowering plants, prehistoric trees and ferns, and visit Apollo Bay before dinner with your fellow travellers.

Commodore on the Park

The Twelve Apostles
After breakfast, travel through the Otway ranges and onto the Shipwreck Coast. Enjoy a guided introduction to Castle Cove’s strong Aboriginal heritage. Next, visit the iconic 12 Apostles where you can explore the boardwalks or brave a helicopter flight along the coastline (at your own expense). We then visit Loch Ard Gorge, the site of the most famous 19th century Australian shipwreck, before arriving at Port Campbell for lunch.
Bays and Wildlife
After lunch, take in the sights of London Bridge, Bay of Islands, Bay of Martyrs, and Boat Bay along a lesser known but highly impressive section of the Great Ocean Road. Continuing on through Warrnambool and onto Tower Hill Game Reserve, we’ll have a chance to see koalas, kangaroos, and emus. Lastly, we’ll make our way through picturesque Port Fairy towards Mount Gambier, home of the crater-formed Blue Lake and numerous sinkholes.
Commodore on the Park
The Commodore, hosted by Evan Kosch, offers spacious rooms and suites, as well as two self-contained apartments, and features dining options that showcase a great selection of Limestone Coast produce and Coonawarra wine. Recent room improvements offer a high level of accommodation suitable for both the corporate or leisure traveller.

Coonawarra Wines
Start your day with a drive through the Coonawarra wine region and a visit to the Naracoorte Caves National Park for a cave tour with a local guide. Stop at Keith for lunch before joining the highway, travelling through grain and stock land towards Adelaide. Notice the contrast as we make our way through this drought-affected area of Australia compared to the previous lush forests and coastal pastures.
Breathtaking Views
Just outside Adelaide, visit the very popular village of Hahndorf and Mount Lofty summit for impressive, birds-eye views of the city and surroundings before arriving in Adelaide around 6:00pm.
The City of Adelaide
Surrounded by parklands, Adelaide city centre is a blend of historic buildings, wide streets, cafes and restaurants with rolling hills to the east and beaches to the west. Adelaide is also proud to be Australia’s wine capital, with numerous regions on its doorstep, and has been voted Australia’s most liveable city.
Mayfair Hotel
The magnificent Mayfair Hotel — Adelaide’s newest five star boutique hotel — is located right in the heart of the city at the corner of King William and Hindley Streets in the heritage-listed, beautifully renovated Colonial Mutual Life building.

East End Pub Tour
Day 10

Enjoy an eclectic tour of Adelaide’s East End with highlights that include the Cupola, a bush food trail, and Ayers House Paxton’s walk. Then cross Tandanya for a glimpse into contemporary Aboriginal art, visit the historic East End fruit and produce markets, and stop at Vardon Place to view sculptures and interesting mud artwork. Charming arcades take you through to Rymill Park, home to the Garden of Unearthly Delights. The East End of Rundle Street is one of Adelaide’s finest foodie streets.
McLaren Vale Wine Region
Day 11

Wine Tastings
Travel south to the picturesque McLaren Vale wine region, home to over 50 wineries. Located near the coast, the area has a distinctly Mediterranean feel. Wineries include Wirra Wirra, d’Arenberg, Coriole, and the historic Hardy’s winery.
Whales and Beer
Head south to the coastal town of Goolwa and enjoy lunch at the charming Flying Fish Cafe or Aquacaf Gourmet Café overlooking the sea.
After lunch, travel up to the mouth of the Murray River and stop at scenic lookouts in search of the southern right whales that visit the shores with their newborn calves from June onwards. The area is also known for its local brewhouses near the sea.
Horse-Drawn Tram
Travel into Victor Harbor and take a ride on Australia’s only horse-drawn tram along the causeway, linking the mainland to Granite Island. Visit the interpretive center to learn about blue penguins or view them at dusk as they make their way back to the island.

Torrens Gorge to the Barossa Valley
Starting with a city orientation tour, your escorted journey will take you through the scenic Torrens Gorge to the Barossa Valley. Travel over Jacobs Creek for your first wine tasting at the Peter Lehmann winery. Then visit Torbreck Vintners, a small, rustic winery famous for making wines using traditional Barossa methods.
Dine with Vines
Afterwards, stop in the German-inspired town of Tanunda and stroll the small local shops. Enjoy a picturesque drive up to Mengler Hill for an unsurpassed view over the entire valley. Continue into historic Angaston — one of the more English villages in the Barossa. Enjoy either an alfresco lunch under the vines or dine at Vintners restaurant just out of Angaston.
Historic Wineries
Your next stop may be Henschkes Winery in Keyneton, a fifth-generation German winery, or at the historic Yalumba, the largest family-run winery in Australia. Time permitting, you may also visit small boutique producers such as Charles Melton or Turkey Flat.

Arrive in Perth
Located on the banks of the scenic Swan River, the dynamic city of Perth has a glorious climate with more hours of sunshine per year than any other Australian capital. Clean beaches and rivers make the city an aquatic paradise for luxury yachts, wind surfers, dinghies, and water skiers. The beach is a way of life and is where people indulge in the bracing Indian Ocean air and admire spectacular sunsets.

King's Park to Cottesloe
This private tour starts with Kings Park, which occupies approximately 400 hectares of Mount Eliza overlooking the city of Perth and the Swan River. Explore sweeping parklands, botanic garden, spectacular wildflowers, and native bushland. Extensive city and river views include a panoramic view of the Darling Scarp. Be sure to stop at the beautiful State War Memorial.
After your morning tea you’ll venture out of the city and head to one of Perth’s most popular beaches: Cottesloe Beach — a perfect refuge from the hot summer heat. Crystal clear waters and regular sea swell make it popular with swimmers, body boarders, and surfers alike. Seek shade among Cottesloe’s famous pine trees which can be seen all the way from Rottnest Island. Enjoy lunch overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Fremantle
Travel along the coast to Fremantle, known for its heritage and cosmopolitan culture. This popular area is always abuzz with shoppers and al fresco diners, with patrons from across the globe. Stop for a tasting flight at Little Creatures Brewery and lunch at Bathers Beach House. ‘Freo,’ as the locals call it, is best known for its docks, marinas, and charming heritage sandstone buildings.
We then head to Victoria Quay to visit the Western Australian Maritime Museum. Designed to depict a boat stranded on a sandy promontory, the museum houses famous sailing vessels and interactive exhibits that bring sea-faring heritage to life. Finish the day with a cruise taking you back to Perth on the beautiful Swan River as the sun is setting. The cruise includes tea, coffee, and wine tastings of Western Australia’s premium wines.

Rottness Island

History and the Bathurst Lighthouse
Travelling by ferry we set out to discover Rottnest Island, one of Western Australia’s most popular islands. Once there you have the option to enjoy a relaxing ride on the Island Explorer, jumping on and off at your favourite beaches, bays, and attractions. For the activity-inclined, you may prefer to rent bikes and explore the island. You’ll see where gaolers and ship pilots lived and worked and learn how Rottnest became an Aboriginal ‘open prison’ in 1839. Stop and learn the history of Bathurst lighthouse. Enjoy lunch on the water’s edge with sweeping views across the bay.
Quokka Walk
Next, we undertake the world famous “Quokka walk,” and hopefully uncover Rottnest Island’s famous marsupial, the quokka! This educational walk leads you to the quokka’s natural habitats and imparts some interesting facts about this iconic animal. The rest of the afternoon will be spent amongst the island’s museums and World War II relics before we board the ferry back to Perth.

Margaret River Experience
Day 16
Stay Margaret River

Busselton Jetty
Your journey south starts with the iconic Busselton Jetty, the longest wooden jetty in the Southern Hemisphere. After enjoying morning tea (at own expense) continue further south to the Margaret River Region where you will visit the famous local brewery. Indulge in a gourmet platter of local produce and award-winning beer and cider tastings. Afterwards we continue to an internationally renowned winery for premium wine tastings with the opportunity to purchase.
Mammoth Cave
Continuing south, we’ll stop at Mammoth Cave and enjoy a guided tour of this amazing gothic-like structure, followed by a scenic drive through the picturesque Boranup Forest which is home to massive Karri Trees. Journey further south to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, located at the most south-westerly point of Australia — the dividing point between the Southern and Indian Oceans.
Artisanal Food and Drink
From here you’ll enjoy a unique gastronomic journey celebrating the region’s food and wine artisans. Savour wine tastings at a variety of intimate boutique and five-star wineries. Finish the day with a chocolate and coffee tasting with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. After indulging at these beautiful stops, it’s time to collect your luggage from the hotel and rejoin your Coach Captain for the drive back to Perth, stopping for a light dinner along the way.

Stay Margaret River is the ultimate destination to relax and explore the famous wineries, caves, forests, and beaches of the Margaret River Region.
Early risers can browse the main street of Margaret River Township and discover quaint shops featuring works of local craftspeople, or maybe visit the Margaret River Wine Showroom and Visitor Centre. If venturing out early, be sure to store your bags at reception prior to checkout, in time for a 9:00 – 9:30am departure.
