Itinerary

Cead Mile Failte! Today is leisurely as we all settle into our hotel in the lovely seaside town of Malahide. You will meet your travelling companions this evening over a welcome drink and dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast, we depart our hotel and journey north towards Belfast. En route, we stop at The Listoke Distillery for a tour and taste experience. Here, you will be introduced to the basics and history of the distillery and the distilling processes. Arriving in Belfast, we will undertake a panoramic tour of the Catholic Falls and Protestant Shankill Roads before checking in to the hotel. This evening, you’re free to explore Belfast and enjoy a taste of its incredible foodie scene.
This morning, we make our way to the Harland and Wolff Shipyard and Titanic Belfast, where you will undertake a self-guided tour of the centre. For the remainder of the afternoon, you are free to explore the city, indulge in a little retail therapy or visit some other attractions in Belfast, such as Crumlin Road Gaol, City Hall, or the Botanic Gardens. You will enjoy a delicious Ulster supper in The Old Inn in Crawfordsburn tonight.
We head north along the Antrim Coast with a stop at the teahouse in the Glenariff Forest Park, where you will be treated to beautiful views of the park and, if you wish, enjoy a freshly brewed cup of tea or coffee with one of the teahouse’s signature scones. Next, we stand on the shoulders of giants at the Giant’s Causeway tour of the Visitor Centre.
We are met by a local tour guide who will lead us on a fascinating walking tour of the Walls of Derry. After, we visit the home of Donegal Tweed, Triona Design. Here, you will enjoy Irish Coffee while learning the history of Donegal Tweed, including a weaving demonstration on a 200-year- old Hand Loom. During your visit, you will have time to shop for fashionable woollen and a selection of Irish knitwear. Our travels then take us to the lovely town of Sligo, where there will be time to grab a bite to eat and stroll around the town. Next, we head to Roscommon and our home for the night, the fabulous Kilronan Castle. After checking into your room, we will dine like royalty in the castle restaurant. Those wishing to do so may want to enjoy a nightcap by the fireplace in the beautiful drawing room.
This morning, there will be some time to enjoy the castle grounds and spa before we board our Dublin-bound coach. Leaving Kilronan, we will head to Arigna Mines, where you can get a unique perspective into what coal mining life was like in Ireland from the 1700’s to its closure in 1990. We will make a lunch stop in Cavan before arriving in Kells, where the famous Book of Kells was written and protected for over 800 years before being moved to Trinity College in the 17th century. Tonight is a free night in Dublin, a great city for dining where you can not only indulge in traditional Irish fayre but also choose from a vast selection of fine dining restaurants and bistros that feature cuisines from around the world.
Today, you can discover Dublin using your hop-on/hop-off sightseeing ticket. This evening, we enjoy a farewell dinner onboard La Peniche, a beautifully restored classic cargo barge moored on Dublin’s Historic Grand Canal.
