Rome's Ancient Splendors to the Serene Canals of Venice

Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Leonardo Da Vinci Airport, you will meet your tour director and tour driver. In the afternoon we will enjoy a highlight to admire the gorgeous Trevi Fountain and then proceed to have dinner at a nearby local restaurant. Hotel Bel Stay Roma Aurelia (4 nights)
After a comfortable breakfast, visit the Colosseum and the Roman Forum with our local guide. After lunch the ancient Roman Catacombs: ancient underground Christian tombs. Later in the afternoon we will have time to recharge at the hotel and enjoy a typical Italian dinner.
Today we will discover the independent State of the Vatican where and visit the Vatican Museums and the unforgettable Sistine Chapel. Here, The Last Judgment. Next, The afternoon will continue with a walk through the Trastevere district, to end with dinner in a traditional restaurant.
After a comfortable breakfast, our local guide will show us some of the magnificent squares of Rome: the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, and Piazza Navona. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to revisit your favorite places or have fun shopping. Dinner will be served at a local restaurant.
This morning we ll leave Rome to reach gorgeous Tuscany. For our first taste of Tuscany, visit a typical cantina (winery) to try some authentic Tuscan wines. In the afternoon we ll visit the perfectly preserved medieval village of Siena. Next, we reach our hotel. Hotel Columbia Wellness & spa, or similar (5 nights)
After breakfast, we will pass through the Tuscan hills and arrive to the village of San Gimignano, called “Manhattan of the MiddleAges” You can visit the city centre at your leisure. After that, we’ll proceed to the hill town of Volterra, which is surrounded by impressive protective defensive walls.
Today we’ll have the opportunity for a three-hour cooking class with a professional chef. We’ll learn how to make some of Tuscany’s most traditional dishes. At the end of the experience, you can enjoy an Italian lunch prepared all by yourself! In the afternoon, we follow our local guide for a light walking tour of the city centre of Lucca.
This morning, will travel to the region of Liguria for a full day excursion through the famous Cinque Terre. Weather permitting, you’ll travel between the villages by boat, but if rough seas prevail, you will be escorted by minibus through some of the villages. We’ll visit some of the colourful villages built up to the cliffs, overlooking the sea. The unique landscapes have beautiful, terraced vineyards.
Today we through Tuscany to reach one of the most famous piecesof Italian architecture in the world: the leaning tower of Pisa! The tower is but one of the three monuments in the Square of Miracles which represents the catholic life. After satisfying the spirit, we will continue, to satisfy the palate, reaching a local farm to learn how olive oil is made and tasting local dishes.
On Tuesday we’ll we’ll go to the most important city of the Italian Renaissance, Florence. We meet our local guide for a walking tour that will end at the Academy Museum, where Michelangelo’s David statue is located. In the afternoon the driver will take us to a special terrace in Michelangelo’s Square, where we will have an opportunity to take in the sunset above the city.
This morning the Apennine mountains to reach Venice! A short cruise on a private boat will take us to the Burano Island where we can admire the quintessential colourful houses. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant on the island. In the afternoon we’ll return to Venice. You can take a gondola ride through the channels during your free time if you wish, or just stroll through the floating city at your leisure.
After a comfortable breakfast, we will meet your local guide for a walking tour to see the famous Rialto Bridge, St. Square, the Bridge of Sighs, and the Glass factory. We ll finish with free time to discover the thousand channels of Venice. To celebrate the success of your vacation, dinner will be served on a typical restaurant.
